I recently hunted down and acquired Braun's classic Sixtant SM 31 razor from a source in Italy. The freaking thing was made in 1962 and it still works perfectly, but finding it wasn't easy. For those of you who don't want to spend your days scouring eBay and Etsy, here's a chance to pick up another Braun design classic without putting in the legwork: They've announced they're re-issuing their iconic ET66 Calculator, designed by Dietrich Lubs and Dieter Rams back in the '80s.

    kerFchair by Boris Goldberg

The kerFchair is a flat pack furniture unit created by Israel-based designer Boris Goldberg. The designer has used the simple kerfing technique to bend a single flat board of birch wood into a chair. According to the designer, “The kerFchair is flat pack furniture. It is manufactured out of a flat board of birch wood. The legs are the structure and the bending tool of the chairs base. The bending is possible thanks to the kerfing technique. The whole chair is manufactured in a CNC router machine.” Image Courtesy: Boris Goldberg

DEsigned by Andres Remy Arquitectos and located on an irregular lot, the house sits at the back of the lot and is parallel to one of the streets to open the best orientation and capture the best views. The idea of this journey was to discover the entrance as we follow the exterior stone wall. The rustic and crafted stone defines and separates the entry zones from the living spaces and is inside and outside, proposing a counterpoint to the pure white that dominates the inside of the house. The touches of color are used for small details and decorative objects, dominating the white color and the turquoise of the water. The water that surrounds the house penetrates it in the form of the mirrored surface of the water whose novelty results in the interior cascade that emerges from the top floor...

    Ergonomic Adjustable Desks

It’s great when we can get the most aesthetically pleasing furniture for our home office. Splurging may seem like the best way to go because it will provide encouragement to stay in your office, and now you can get your work done. There’s nothing wrong with splurging, especially when you think it would be quite productive. The worst thing would be to buy all that nice furniture and find out that it is not comfortable enough. Everyone who works in an office will have to agree that your office furniture is nothing more than a torture device unless it is ergonomic. Many big time corporations invest countless dollars in ergonomic office furniture to combat the larger amount of money they would spend in worker’s compensation claims and associated expenses. The lesson we can learn at home is to always buy ergonomic office furniture and just hope that the furniture doesn’t have to be as bland and boring as most office furniture tends to be. Ergonomic adjustable desks are great news to your neck and back. They come in colors other than gray, navy blue, and tan! The table can adjust as high or low as you wish, keeping your back [...]

dmvA Architecten located in mechelen, belgium has recently completed ‘extension vB4‘ an addition to an A-frame house.

Extension vB4 An Addition to an A frame House by dmvA Architecten DesignRulz.com

dmvA Architecten constructed this small triangular shaped home on a former recreational lot, and though permits and provisioning had restricted a few areas there wasn’t any holding back on the design.  It’s a pretty small place at just 861 square feet, but the interior looks spacious in a mostly white setting, complete with modern classic furniture and just the essentials. The front and backside of this beautiful space are completely glazed, and the “floating” structure is a sight to see, especially with the stark contrasts in finishes on the outside. The back and front of the home is fully glazed with a movable partition  wall which allows for uninterrupted...
