Belgian artist Louis De Cordier’s library in the Sierra Nevada - the high mountains of Spanish Andalusia - preserves important knowledge for future generations. Today, the project called ‘Biblioteca del Sol’ houses thousands of books and even a collection of seeds. Each component is so well thought-through that a near-infinite variety of combinations is possible. Before Martin Parr retired from leading his popular workshops, he held a final session last summer at the Magnum Print Room in London. Over one weekend, Martin worked with fifteen participants, critiquing and developing their respective bodies of work, their creative practices and their artistic identities. But it was more than just your average educational workshop, as Martin opened up his studio to the group, explaining exactly how he works and revealing many of his trial-tested tricks of the trade. The entire experience was taped and is being made available on Vimeo. Sur ses propres terres, Hyundai dévoile le concept HND-9 qui préfigure l’évolution de style des futurs modèles coupé sportifs de la marque et notamment la prochaine génération de la Genesis.Il y a une semaine le constructeur coréen donnait les premiers détails concernant l'étude de style qu'il allait présenter à l'occasion du Salon de Séoul. Les portes de l'évènement de la capitale coréenne se sont ouvertes, le temps pour nous d'en apprendre davantage sur le concept HND-9.
Outre la volonté de préfigurer la prochaine génération de la Genesis, Hyundai veut montrer un aperçu à tous les clients de l'orientation stylistique que va prendre la marque. Si le langage Fluidic Sculpture est toujours au rendez-vous, Hyundai souhaite le faire évoluer pour proposer des véhicules avec une silhouette plus haut de gamme.
Long de 4,69 mètres, large d'1.89 mètres et haut d'1.34 mètre, le prototype tient son patronyme du fait qu'il est le 9ème concept à être développé par le centre de design de la marque basé en Corée. Elégant coupé sportif premium, la face avant du HND-9 n'est pas sans rappeler certains récents concepts Lexus comme le LF-LC. Avec une large calandre et des blocs optiques effilés, le prototype affiche un visage résolument sportif.
Les lignes marquées, les portes en élytre ainsi que la face arrière et la quadruple sortie d'échappement renforcent cet esprit de sportivité mais aussi le côté premium voulu par Hyundai.
