Stockholm based Mattias Ståhlbom of TAF has created the Up table lamp for Danish brand Muuto. The lamp has a funnel-shaped rotating shade. The direction of the light can be changed by rotating the shade. According to the designer, “Up lamp mixes light and shadow to create a cosy and warm atmosphere anywhere it is placed. Through the profile of the lamp shade, Up elegantly interacts with the surrounding walls and ceiling. Inspired by the outline of industrial rooftops, Up directs a warm LED light upwards, while the 360 degrees rotating lamp shade and a smooth flicker-free dim function allow you to control both the light and mood in your room.” Photography: TAF

Hand-blown glass shade supported by a monkey fist knot of coloured cable. The shades come in multiples to bunch together to create an illuminating form. Grouped together, the lights wrestle each other for space creating an enigmatic aura.

Flat is a wall coat rack made up of wooden modular panels and colored handles. Interactivity and customization are its distinguishing premises: scrolling the handles through the panels slits, it is possible to hang coats, hats, and bags in the way the user wants, why its modularity allows to adapt it to every space dimensions and characteristics. Used on an entire surface, Flat becomes an inedited wall covering solution.

Anyone thinking of a typical COR design thinks of CONSETA. In 2013, our classic is to be joined by some promising new models. So who plays further, key roles in the collections?
Not quite sixty years ago, Friedrich Wilhelm Möller succeeded in creating a momentous design with a lasting effect: CONSETA. The upholstered element furniture system, whose highly adaptable variability is reminiscent of a chameleon, nevertheless has one identity: It is a COR design, unpretentious, unmistakable, solid,...From Designboom

Danish practice Mette Lange Architects have designed a vacation home in Henne, Denmark. The small vacation house is located in the big dunes next to the Northern Sea on the Danish west coast. The building is surrounded by grass. The irregular house has a courtyard facing south, to embrace light and sun, and provide shelter. A cantilevered balcony faces west to the sea. With respect to an old Danish building tradition, the exterior is clad with black painted pine. The house is built by carpenter Blaabjerh Huge. Image Courtesy: Mette Lange Architects

What a wonderful family home, full of light and a life well lived. Children and music and friends and entertaining. A kitchen as the centre of it all and everywhere a casual sense of style. Long time reader Kimberley and her husband Adam have sadly sold this house and moved on but Kimberley assures me that it is to another renovation adventure. So without further ado I present to you a wonderful Australian home, the Baudelaire family home.
P.S. You can see before and afters here.

A w103s pendant lamp can be a single hanging shade or a combination of shades. They can be attached on a long rail for linear combinations or on smaller rails, where they can be joined together like Meccano to create polygons. These exist in 7 very different tones – bright, soft, clear, dark – and can be arranged in any colour combination.
