Vietnamese architectural firm a21 studio has completed in 2012 the a21 House. Located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, this contemporary office looks like  a wild-cage which is bathed in sunlight, inundated by rain-water, fully surrounded by tree.

According to the architects: Every morning, the first thing that I would like to have is drawing first lines in a comfortable and joyful mind…I simply want our studio like a wild-cage which is bathed in sunlight, inundated by rain-water, fully surrounded by tree… and non-frontier space … And we are like wild beasts in cage, stay temporary momentary but thirst for living.”

Canny Design created this modern residence in 2011 for a client living in Malvern, Victoria, Australia.

It is a sophisticated addition to an area already known for its impressive properties. The home is cleverly stepped from front to back across three simple levels at the ground floor, maintaining the flow and accentuating the sense of transition through the interior spaces. Elegantly proportioned design and a flexible floor plan makes room for everyone, with three brilliantly integrated living zones, four spacious bedrooms and a study, as well as a two-car garage. The kitchen design is deceptively simple with clean lines and finishes, yet still manages to encapsulate an enormous amount of storage, perfect for a family home of this size. The sliding doors  allow the kitchen to expand...
